The Government has announced that, amid the severe COVID-19 epidemic situation, the 2020 Legislative Council General Election originally scheduled for 6 September 2020 would be postponed for a year to 5 September 2021, in order to protect public safety and public health as well as to ensure elections are conducted openly and fairly.

In line with the Government’s decision, the Institution will hold in abeyance the provision of services for candidates standing for the Engineering Functional Constituency/Information Technology Functional Constituency Election and will keep members posted should further information becomes available.
