NOTICE OF THE FORTY-EIGHTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers will be held on Wednesday, 28 June 2023 at 7:00 pm at Room S421, L4, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), 1 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, for the following purposes:

 

  1. To confirm the Minutes of the 47th Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers held on Wednesday, 24 August 2022. The Minutes of the meeting were published in the October 2022 issue of the Hong Kong Engineer.

  2. To confirm the Minutes of the Special General Meeting of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers held on Wednesday, 24 August 2022. The Minutes of the meeting were published in the October 2022 issue of the Hong Kong Engineer.

  3. To receive and approve the audited Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2023.

  4. To appoint the Auditor for 2023/2024.

  5. To receive the Annual Report for Session 2022/2023.

  6. To note the voting for the re-election of the incumbent Vice Presidents as Vice Presidents.

  7. To note the voting for the election of a new Vice President nominated by the Council.

  8. To note the voting for the election of Elected Ordinary Members of the Council.

  9. To note the election by the Council of the President for Session 2023/2024.

  10. To install the incoming President.

  11. To present the Past President’s Medallion.

 

The Annual Report 2022/2023 will be posted to all members in early June 2023.

 

Please note that there will be one voting centre at Room S221*, L2, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for the re-election of incumbent Vice Presidents, the election of a new Vice President and Elected Ordinary Members of the Council.

All Corporate Members are invited to attend this meeting.
A QUORUM of 60 CORPORATE MEMBERS is required to hold the AGM.

 

Voting results will be released to the press and posted on the notice board of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Headquarters and the website.
