As part of the Institution’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, the HKIE Task Force for Communal Sports and Social Service (TFCSSS) organised a range of activities to commemorate this important milestone. On 18 January 2025, TFCSSS arranged a friendly football match against the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS). This event was not only exciting but also fiercely contested, culminating in a thrilling 4-3 victory for the Institution! We were privileged to have our President, Ir Eric Ma, in attendance on this wonderful day, which was blessed with excellent weather. His participation in the kickoff infused the event with energy and provided a fantastic opportunity for him to engage with our members and connect with other professional bodies.
The match transcended mere sport; it symbolised collaboration, teamwork, and professional camaraderie, celebrating the strong relationship between the Institution and HKIS. Furthermore, it highlighted our role as a “super-connector,” promoting friendships and partnerships among various professional institutions.
This event underscores our commitment to fostering community and collaboration, and we eagerly anticipate more opportunities like this in the future!
