In alignment with the 2022 Policy Address’s commitment to enhancing speed, efficiency, quantity, and quality, the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) has adeptly developed the Project Information Management and Analytics Platform, known as “HA-PIMAP”. This sophisticated, integrated platform has combined Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS) and various spatial and project data, thereby facilitating advanced data management and analysis.

HA-PIMAP has markedly enhanced the efficiency of housing development and construction processes, resulting in expedited processing times and improved tracking of project progress. By harnessing the power of big data analytics, the platform equips the department with the capacity to discern expenditure trends and patterns, enabling strategic planning and optimal resource allocation for effective oversight of construction costs.

The influence of HA-PIMAP transcends local boundaries, as it proudly stands as the only entry from the China Region in the Digital Government Category at the Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2024. This prestigious recognition underscores HA-PIMAP’s vital role in advancing Hong Kong’s digital governance on an international platform. Its accolades include being awarded 1st Runner-up in both the Digital Government and Business Data Analytics Categories at the APICTA Awards 2024, alongside a collection of additional honours detailed in the figure below.
