I am greatly honoured to be elected again as Chairman of the AC Division for Session 2025/2026. I sincerely thank all my aviation peers for their trust and support.
While Hong Kong International Airport has yet to return to prepandemic passenger traffic levels, we are witnessing encouraging signs of a strong recovery and growth. The aviation industry is steadily evolving post-COVID, propelled by infrastructure enhancements, fleet reactivations and strengthened regional partnerships.
In 2025, the AC Division proudly delivered the cornerstone CPD course, the Hong Kong Airworthiness Course, and successfully launched the new Aviation Safety Investigation Training Course. This new offering has met significant demand from industry stakeholders and enables our members to further enhance their competence in Quality and Safety—our industry's top priority.
Beyond CPD courses, the Division continues to offer a wide range of professional development opportunities, including technical lectures, workshops, and technical visits.
We also remain committed to nurturing the next generation of aviation professionals through our flagship Aircraft Engineer Development Scheme (AEDS). This initiative provides passionate young engineers with invaluable exposure to the industry and helps them shape their career paths from their undergraduate years onward.
I am confident that the AC Division Committee will continue to collaborate effectively and dedicate our best efforts to ensuring safe and reliable air travel under our beautiful blue skies.
