The BD Division successfully organised the captioned event on 1 November 2025. The event combined a creative latte‑art workshop with an invaluable professional guidance session from seasoned engineers.

The event began in a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. A barista introduced participants to the fundamentals of coffee by covering a range of topics from the origins of coffee beans to the techniques required for creating a quality espresso.

Under the barista’s expert guidance, participants then crafted their own lattes and practised basic heart‑shaped latte art. Although the techniques proved more intricate than expected, everyone enjoyed the challenge and the sense of accomplishment as the heart shapes, though imperfect, gradually emerged in their cups.

After the engaging coffee session, the programme continued with an experience‑sharing segment led by distinguished Committee Members of the BD Division, Ir Eva Lee and Ir Jenny Mak. They shared candid reflections on their professional journeys, from graduation to becoming Corporate members. In particular, they emphasised their experiences during the professional interview. Their insights offered both motivation and practical guidance, giving participants greater confidence in planning their own career paths.

Through this innovative event format, the BD Division provided participants with an opportunity to learn a new skill while creating a relaxed and uplifting environment for peer communication and knowledge sharing.

We extend our sincere thanks to Ir Eva Lee, Ir Jenny Mak, the workshop facilitators, and all participants who contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to creating more opportunities for connection and professional growth in the future.
