The HKIE Prize Presentation Ceremony cum New Members’ Reception was successfully held on 17 January 2026 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Bringing together approximately 400 newly admitted members, awardees and guests, the event served as a premier platform for networking and celebrating professional milestones in a convivial atmosphere.
The event commenced with a warm welcoming address by President Ir Alice Chow. A special presentation was held to honour members who have achieved 50 years or more of membership, honoring their lifelong dedication to the Institution and the profession. Membership certificates were also presented to Fellows, Adjunct Fellows, Members, and Associate Members admitted to the HKIE between April and December 2025.
In addition, the HKIE Scholarship, the HKIE Prize for Outstanding Engineering Students 2024/2025, and the Trainee of the Year Award 2025 were presented during the event, to reaffirm the Institution’s commitment to nurturing future talent by recognising the outstanding achievements of engineering students and trainees.
The event provided a unique opportunity for new members to engage with our Past Presidents, Council Members, Division Chairmen, Discipline Representatives and Standing Committee Chairmen.
